  • 1967

    The Amadesi family founded CEA Estintori

    CEA Estintori, founded in 1967 by the Amadesi family, is a leading company in the design and production of fire extinguishers

  • 1967

    First agreements for safety management.

    In 1967, the first agreements for safety management on the circuit were established at the Imola racetrack.

  • 1967

    Ermete Amadesi creates the first fire-fighting car.

    In 1967, Ermete Amadesi created the first fire-fighting car by converting a Maserati for the Imola circuit.

  • 1970

    Squadra Corse CEA enters into new agreements.

    Since 1970, Squadra Corse CEA has been present at the main Italian motorsport events, actively involved in the world of racing

  • 1974

    Collaboration with Monza and Mugello.

    In 1974, the collaboration for safety management during events at the Monza and Mugello racetracks began.

  • 1978

    The Lions: protagonists of Squadra Corse CEA.

    In 1978, the men of CEA earned the nickname “Lions” after their intervention at the Italian Grand Prix, when they rescued Ronnie Peterson from the flames.

  • 1989

    Legendary rescue of Gerhard Berger.

    In 1989, the legendary rescue of Gerhard Berger at the San Marino Grand Prix definitively cemented the reputation of the CEA Squadra Corse.

  • 1990

    FIA drafts the first safety regulations.

    In 1990, the FIA drafted the first regulations on safety at motorsport events, also consulting CEA managers for their unique expertise.

  • 2012

    The Italian Network of Firefighting Companies is established.

    Since 2012, CEA Estintori has been the lead company of the Italian Network of Firefighting Companies: the Network Group for Safety Services.

  • 2017

    CEA celebrates 50 years of activity.

    In 2017, CEA Estintori celebrated its first 50 years of activity in fire safety.

Today, CEA Racing Team is present at the major motorsport events in both circuits and rallies across Italy, with a staff of over 300 specialists and 50 vehicles dedicated to race safety.

How to become a LION of the CEA Racing Team

Five years to be spent on the track, fully active, but always supervised by an experienced Lion. A long training period to assess the characteristics and inclinations of the new Lion and determine the most suitable role. Based on their abilities, they will be assigned the task and position that best fit them.
